Jay Kholos, President of Orchard Street Productions, LLC
Jay started his career at CBS Television after graduating from the University of Southern California. Former president of World Communications, Inc., a west coast based advertising and marketing agency, Jay wrote, produced and directed over 25 made-for-television musical packages including: Loretta Lynn: The Lady, The Legend; Christmas Classics; Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, Doo-Wop Rock; Nat King Cole, Romantic Classics; and the award-winning Wolfman Jack’s Solid Gold Rock-N-Roll. Other TV credits include History In The Company of Children, starring John Ritter, and History In The Company of Women. Jay received both the Ford Foundation and Vanguard Awards for these two series. A member of ASCAP, NSAI and The New York Dramatist Guild, Jay has written, produced and directed several musical theater pieces: A Stoop On Orchard Street, which enjoyed a record-breaking, sixteen-month run Off Broadway and a North American tour (more than 1,000 performances); My Catskills Summer; and the New-York-bound production of Purim: (the musical comedy love story!). He recently produced and directed the Off-Broadway hit Old Jews Telling Jokes in Nashville, TN and Cincinnati, OH. Jay is a native of Los Angeles and currently resides in Nashville.
